Packaging

As with previous XM1 releases, the XM1r sits nicely cushioned in a foam mold, along with a quick start guide and set of larger replacement feet.

Weight

My scale shows around 71 g (+/- 1 g), which is almost exactly in line with the weight cited by Endgame Gear. An excellent weight, especially given it's achieved without resorting to the hole treatment.

Cable

The XM1r features a paracord-like, braided cable. Compared to previous XM1 iterations, it's slightly less flexible, but said to be much more durable. In any case, it's still easily among the most flexible stock cables. Its measured length is 1.80 m. A ferrite bead has been attached to the cable, which reduces signal noise.

Feet

The feet on the XM1r are white-dyed 99.5% PTFE (Teflon) feet with slightly rounded edges. They are of above average thickness, and glide is excellent. By default, the four smaller feet familiar from previous XM1 iterations are installed, but can be replaced by two larger, Zowie-like feet instead if desired. A set of those larger feet is included in the box, which double as replacement if the default ones wear down. 100% PTFE skates are separately available from Endgame Gear directly, as well as German retailer Caseking.
