Shape and Dimensions

Shape

For an MMO mouse, the most important criterion when it comes to the shape is comfort, especially over extended periods of time. To that end, the X15 comes with a palm-grip focused design which organically accommodates the human hand. The right side features a ledge, which, depending on whether one is using a 1-2-2 or 1-3-1 grip, allows for resting one's pinky or ring finger on and also acts as a button. In addition to that, the right side flares out towards the back, and coupled with the centered hump, rounded butt, and raised left side, the X15 provides ample space for the palm to rest on. The left side in fact isn't straight but angled, like this: /. As for its profile, the X15 is fairly tall and bulky, but not as wide as many other MMO mice or mice with finger rests. Overall, I've found the X15 to be comfortable, albeit not for FPS gaming, where everything that makes it work for non-FPS works against it.

The sensor position on the X15 is rather peculiar. Instead of being in the geometric middle, the sensor is in line with the cable, which in turn is in line with the scroll wheel. Basically, the cable and sensor are placed as if the entire right-side finger rest does not exist. In practice, I didn't notice anything odd, and for MMO gaming, it is even less of a concern.

As for grip styles, I'd say the X15 is mostly suited for palm grip. It's a medium to large mouse with a somewhat pronounced hump, which makes it suitable for larger hands. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the X15 comfortable in palm grip, but not so much in claw grip.

Dimensions

This table includes the dimensions of the EVGA X15 and several other right-handed ergonomic mice. "Front height" denotes the distance between the base and main buttons. Measurements with two decimals have been taken with a caliper, while those with one decimal have been taken with a ruler.
