Black and grey and...

You might have noticed that these sticks are not like any others before them. The side with the label is black, a red streak running across its top.

Flip the sticks over and you'll see that they are a dark grey and have no label, the same red streak making yet another appearance. Although it might seem a bit off, the impression it makes in person is quite spectacular, and the sticks blend right in once they've been mounted into any number of today's motherboards.

At the top, right in the middle of its red bit, is a familiar G.Skill logo, and looking at the entire stick, you'll see that the red wraps from one side to the other. A quick touch of its surface reveals it to be plastic.

The plastic top attaches to the Trident Z stick via simple clips on either end, making it removable, and other color choices may become available for purchase, or perhaps, future kits will come with a few sets in different colors right in the box. G.Skill has not revealed their plans for these to me yet. Look at the hole that added plastic bit leaves and you will see that the joints on either side kind of match the add-on top; closely mated together, the heatsink's opposite sides meet perfectly.
