A Closer Look - Inside

Due to the pre-installed LCD screen, you are not meant to take off the main side panel. Instead, you swing it open to access the interior. The cable for the LCD screen is plenty long, so you don't have to worry about putting excessive tension on it.

Taking a look at the interior, it is actually quite simple and open. iBUYPOWER covered up the bottom area, including the PSU bay, and placed a white metal cover across where other cases usually use grommets. This is an interesting approach as it creates another unique visual aspect while giving the chassis more room for cable management. To those in the know, you will find plenty of similarities between the Snowblind and the NZXT Source 340 chassis.

A single piece of bent metal in the same matte look as the rest of the interior divides the chassis. You will also find two 2.5" trays on top of it to make good use of the space, which allows you to nicely showcase any SSDs you have running within your system. These are the same trays as on the backside of the motherboard tray in other enclosures.

In the front, underneath the metal cover, is a simple HDD cage for up to two 3.5" drives. A third mounting position has also been put on the floor of the chassis. Above it are the large dust filter and two 120 or 140 mm fan-mounting possibilities, which are framed inside a single plastic cover. This is an SI add-on as the original Source 340 didn't come with it.

The PSU bay in the rear bears no surprises. The same goes for everything else as the seven expansion slots are of the normal variety and there is a 120 mm exhaust fan with white LEDs. That having been said, it is nice that iBUYPOWER covered the controller board with a white cover, which has it go with the rest of the chassis.

In the top, you may install a 120 or 140 mm fan and use the dust filter to keep grime out.

Last but not least, all the cables within the iBUYPOWER Snowblind are sleeved black and of the default variety.

To power both the LED lights and the LCD screen, you will find some additional Molex connectors within the Snowblind.
