Lian Li DK-02X Review

Packaging

The Lian Li DK-02X ships in two packages: one with all the parts for the tabletop and the other, smaller box with two aluminum stands for the table. These are held in place with foam spacers and have been put into individual heavy duty bags.

The tabletop has been packaged away inside layers out of cardboard and Styrofoam. There are also bits of foam strewn in-between to keep everything in place. Beneath the first cardboard layer are all the flat pieces, like the glass top and aluminum panels. Below it are the chassis' actual tray, which is where you will place both systems, and below the tray is another layer inside of which all the medium-sized panels and the keyboard tray have been placed. By the time I got to those parts, there unfortunately wasn't enough room to take a proper picture of the compartment.

A detailed manual has also been included. It shows you how to install everything, step by step. During the assembly process, I noticed a little mistake as the manual detailed the wrong type of screw to be used. Lian Li has since fixed that mistake in their manual, but you should still download the newest version off the web instead of relying on the one found within the package to make sure there are no such surprises as you assemble the desk.

There are two large bags within the package: one holds all the parts required to assemble the table, while the other holds the screws you will use for both systems you will install within. All of the pieces are black to ensure a uniform look and feel inside the chassis.

Lian Li also includes a few extras, like two Velcro strips, cable tubing, the keys to the tray's locks, and two USB 3.0 to 2.0 adapters. You also receive a plastic box to place any unused screws into.
