Introduction

I would like to thank CaseKing.de for supplying the review sample.

CaseKing is one of the few companies out there, which will not just sell anything. They only offer hardware that performs well and is of high quality. The shop carries quite a few exclusive parts and devices from all around the world and it is also the official distributor for a long list of well known manufacturers. Their assortment has grown substantially in recent years, while great service and support is still a very important part of the shop philosophy. The website may be in German, but due to great demand an English version is also available.

CaseKing has kindly sent us the Lian Li PC-A05N enclosure in black. We have an image of the silver variant above, to show you how that version looks. CaseKing also sent us one of the new Lian Li Maxima Force power supplies. The unit is rated at 470W and features all the markings of a high quality PSU.

Packaging

The unit ships in a plain cardboard box. There is a outline image to give the user a general idea about the looks of the PC-A05N. A large sticker on the side also shows what color you will be getting, along with a short list of specifications. All this information may not be enough for a spontaneous buyer. If you are unsure about the case, you may want to inform yourself before hand about actual looks for example.

Lian Li has chosen to use Styrofoam spacers to secure the chassis within the thick cardboard box. These spacers are quite large, so you will not have to worry about damage during shipping. A heavy duty plastic bag further protects the case.

Contents

You get the usual paper work with the case, along with several bags with screws. Lian Li also includes a small hex tool to screw the mainboard spacers down tight. This may not be as advanced as the usual miniature screw driver, which the company includes with the more expensive enclosures, but will do the job just fine.
