The ROCCAT Kone Pure Ultra did amazingly well in my testing. The Kone Pure Ultra is a small right-handed mouse with all the features one would expect in 2019: The PixArt PMW3389 sensor performs very well. Click latency is already low, but can be lowered even further by enabling the rather unique "Zero Debounce" feature, which is available in ROCCAT's Swarm software. Button quality in general and the scroll wheel in particular are excellent—ROCCAT is known for their stand-out scroll wheels, and the Kone Pure Ultra is no exception. Overall build quality is, as expected from ROCCAT, just as stellar. Thankfully, the solid construction doesn't come at the expense of the weight, which is just 66 g and has been achieved without having to resort to externally visible holes. The nicely gliding feet and grippy coating also contribute to the Kone Pure Ultra handling well in practice. Decent RGB lighting functionality and full software customizability are welcome features as well.

The only thing I can really criticize is the cable. While it's not awful, it's nothing to write home about, either. In games I had no issue using it without a bungee, but for a mouse as light as this, a more flexible cable would have surely been a highly appreciated addition. Still, with this little to criticize, I feel it's only fair to award the ROCCAT Kone Pure Ultra the Editor's Choice.
