I'm not entirely sure what to make out of this card. It destroys NVIDIA's GeForce GT 220 in every aspect, including pricing which is probably because NVIDIA's card is horribly overpriced. But then AMD's own Radeon HD 4670 is a lot cheaper ($65 vs. $85) and faster (+11% at 1280x1024). Of course the HD 4670 does not have all the new features like DirectX 11, EyeFinity - both which do not matter in this performance class. What matters for many though are the improved HDMI audio features and the super low Blu-Ray playback power consumption. So is this card perfect for a media PC? Unfortunately not. Due to its pronounced fan noise in both idle and load you will always have a slight fan whine in the background while watching movies. If you can stand the noise however, the card is great to play back HD content and lets you do some light gaming at resolutions up to, including, 1280x1024. Oh, and I almost forgot. It overclocks like mad. On our sample we saw massive overclocking potential which translated into 30% real-life performance gain, making the card faster than NVIDIA's GT 240.
