In order to see meaningful gains from overclocking, we had to increase the power limit to the maximum.

Memory overclocking is fairly complicated on all RX 6950 XT cards. Setting the maximum memory clock to just below where the system or application crashes will actually result in negative performance scaling. Rather, you should find your maximum GPU clock first. Once done, slowly increase memory clock step by step while monitoring actual performance. At some point, you'll notice performance plateau and then decrease—that's your maximum memory clock.

  • The data in this table shows comparable overclocks using identical conditions from previous TechPowerUp reviews.
