Seasonic is well known for its high-quality power supplies which are beloved by the enthusiast community. The company has been one of the few who have not yet diversified their product line, with their most advanced foray being their more recent Connect PSU series. Today, Seasonic launches their first chassis—the Syncro Q series. Available in Europe as a SKU combining their Connect PSU and chassis, these two elements will be sold separately in the US region. The Syncro Q704 included in this review comes with four high-quality Nidec fans alongside their 650 W Connect PSU. You may also opt for a 750 or 850 W package instead.

Packaging

The retail box of the combo SKU is huge and does not really fit on our test bench for case reviews. The front holds an image of the case as well as the unique PSU, while the sides offer an inside look of the Q704 with the PSU installed and information on the specifications.


In the very top, you will find the PSU in a retail box, safely stored inside a foam frame. Below that is the actual chassis in its separate retail box.


With the two apart, the Seasonic Q704 box is actually much more what you should expect to see. It comes with carrying holes and several images to let you know what to expect inside the package. The rear lists some marketing bulletin points in multiple languages, while the sides once again detail the specifications and have a blow-up diagram of the case itself.


Seasonic further protects the case with cardboard reinforced foam spacers and a black cloth bag. With all these layers of protection, your case should certainly arrive in pristine condition.
