A Closer Look

For Mini-ITX systems, Thermalright's Silver Arrow ITX may look like a behemoth, but some exceptional changes have made it compatible with a multitude of Mini-ITX motherboards. The fins near the bottom have been shortened to offer better compatibility with ASUS ROG mini ITX motherboards. It also allows for better memory compatibility depending on how you mount the cooler.

The Silver Arrow ITX features 51 aluminum fins in both fin stacks, and these stacks have been nickel-plated black, which creates a nice-looking heatsink that is also a fingerprint magnet. Thankfully, Thermalright provides some cotton gloves, which is great for those that want a clean build without any awful fingerprints showing up everywhere.

The six Ø6 mm nickel-plated heatpipes utilize black plastic caps for a clean appearance and are evenly spaced throughout the fin stacks.

Finally, the nickel-plated copper base features a near mirror finish, which is a nice touch. With solid build quality, good looks, and some fantastic design choices, the Silver Arrow ITX certainly looks like a winner.

Thermalright provides a TR TY149 fan with the Silver Arrow ITX. Being 152 mm x 140 mm x 26.5 mm in size, it is a rather unique fan in terms of dimensions. What is more important is the fact that its PWM range of 300-1300 RPM should make it extremely quiet. Oh, and the red and black theme is an interesting touch as well as it definitely makes it a good fit for ASUS ROG motherboards, but that is something Thermalright mentions themselves. Still, it's good to see they not only made it compatible but also made sure it matches the motherboard's color theme.
