Valkyrie Syn 360 ARGB LCD AIO Review

Packaging

I will say that Valkyrie went all out on the product box, it feels strong and durable. On the front there is a window showing off the pump block, while the top has the Valkyrie logo in shiny black juxtaposed on a matte black background. On the back are detailed images that show the product dimensions of the pump block, radiator and fans alongside traditional fan specifications and supported CPU sockets.

Taking a look at the bottom you have an info bar that details the five-year warranty, along with some of the features detailed previously. Finally, the right and left sides have a slight texture to them due to the shiny and matte black finishes. There are also two pull tabs on the right-hand side for gaining access to the inside. Rather than simple flaps, Valkyrie wants to give you a premium unboxing experience and in that regard they certainly deliver as the box is incredibly heavy compared to what I normally find AIO liquid coolers packaged in.

Typically, I would only show a general look at the internal packaging, but Valkyrie went so far above and beyond here that I took a couple extra photos to detail the experience. Using the pull tab noted above you can slide out the entire inner box which has the cooler firmly secured in foam. Meanwhile, pulling on the second pull tab removes a cardboard tray with foam that cradles the three ARGB fans. Everything is neatly packed with so much foam and attention to detail, that you feel like you're getting a premium top-shelf product. It was a bit of a treat unboxing the cooler if I am being honest, and they definitely hit my weak point by using so much foam, so if I had to grade Valkyrie on it, they get a 10/10 on the product packaging.

The cooler supports AMD's Socket AM4 and AM5, while on Intel, compatibility is more robust with all modern and most older mainstream sockets supported. Further more Valkyrie's Syn 360 supports Intel's LGA2011, LGA2011-3, and LGA2066 HEDT platforms. I am also happy to report that Valkyrie didn't skimp on the installation manual like many brands do. Instead, you get a full on brick of a book with detailed instructions in a majority of languages. The only downside is it has a mistake in the AMD section saying you should use the LGA2011 mounting bolts. Other than that one oversight I am quite impressed.

Common parts supplied for mounting include:
  • 12x Fan screws
  • 12x Extended fan screws
  • 12x Radiator screws
  • 4x Intel / AMD mounting bolts
  • 4x Nuts
  • 4x LGA2011 mounting bolts

  • 2x AMD brackets
  • 2x Intel brackets
