AMD's Threadripper platform has fairly high power use numbers, which really puts to test the designs that motherboard makers come up with. This is even more evident once you begin overclocking as power use will jump up super-high. ASRock's X399M Taichi is ready for this with fairly decent temperatures reported under our rather inadequate air-based CPU cooler. The board's onboard coolers, both over the provided chipset and board's VRM sections worked well, although approaching 70 °C on the VRM cooler is going to have some people not happy (although I myself am perfectly OK with such temperatures).
