CES 2008: Lian-Li Review

Lian-Li has several very nice highlights. The first, which actually caught our eye when walking by is the Armorsuit, which is available in two sizes: the Midtower P60 and P80. The case is actually only available in black, but Lian-Li also has created a red version with a cut out spider window. This version is meant for the AMD Spider plattform. It has been taken apart completely and all the internal parts have been painted in red as well. This version will be available in the future, but the price tag is undetermined (and probably very high) at the moment.

Another first is a new HTPC enclosure, which is just as large as a normal DVD player. It comes with adjustable rear so you can either use four low profile cards or use an included riser card to add two full size parts instead.

Lian-Li has also created the Lancool brand, which utilizes the same resources as the all aluminum versions, but these cases have a steel interior instead. This makes the Lancool cases very sturdy, without sacrificing the looks of a Lian-Li case. They should also be a bit cheaper due to the materials used.

Another very unique item is an Xbox 360 case. This is for all the modders out there, who want to have their XBox 360 in their living room, but are frustrated with the looks of the console. This case is currently just a prototype and the openings do not look very clean at right now, but Lian-Li is working out the details and is considering selling the case in the future.

Many manufacturers are also offering notebook coolers and Lian-Li is no exception. Their power supply range is also being shown off. The one unique item is the little switch on one of the units, with which you can turn the LED lights of the fan on and off.

Their lineup of normal full, mid and mini towers can also be viewed at their booth. These are all cases, already available in retail.
