CRYORIG C7 Cu Review

Packaging

CRYORIG's C7 comes in a tiny box measuring in at just 11.4 cm long, 8.9 cm wide, and 12 cm tall. A quick look at the front shows a simplified graphic of the cooler with the product name and a short paragraph detailing the cooler's premium grade for serious enthusiasts. It should be noted that this paragraph is also in tiny, hard to read text. Good thing I have glasses and a magnifying glass. Moving on, the left side just has a very large "C7" taking up that entire side, though it features a reflective copper-colored inlay.

Taking a look at the back, you will find the supported sockets, along with dimensions, weight, and the TDP rating of the C7 Cu. On the right side, we see a copper inlay showing the periodic number and abbreviation for copper. Below that is a paragraph detailing the premium nature of copper and the fact it's close to 160% more thermally conductive than aluminium. That will be put to the test shortly.

When it comes to the top, all you will find is "CRYORIG" in the same shiny copper lettering inserted into the cardboard. The bottom is just a barcode. Looking the box over one more time, it is pretty devoid of information with only the copper lettering to draw one's attention, and granted, it does work. That said, the rest of the lettering is a bit harder to read with the information presented being minimal.

Contents

Opening the box, you will be greeted by another smaller box that contains the heatsink and fan. Below that is the mounting hardware and various guides and extras. Overall, the packaging is sparse and includes only the absolute necessities to install the cooler.

When it comes to mounting hardware, the C7 Cu uses a very simple design. This keeps the hardware itself to an extreme minimum, which is nice as it helps simplify the installation process.

Common parts supplied for mounting include:
  • 4x Spacers
  • 4x Hex nuts
  • 1x 92 mm fan
  • 1x Heatsink
  • 1x Tube of thermal paste
  • 1x Installation manual
  • 1x Nut driver
  • 1x Warranty registration card
