A Closer Look

The Raijintek Themis is a single-tower CPU cooler of the budget variety. The fins, while rather thin and easily bendable, are still well-attached to the heatpipes. These aluminum fins, of which there are fifty-four, are connected to three 8 mm heatpipes through a solder-less louver-fin assembly and do the grunt work of absorbing the CPU's heat.

The Raijintek logo is, like on the Ereboss, visibly situated on the top aluminum fin. The cooler has the ability to handle two fans; however, Raijintek has only provided enough anti-vibration mounts for one with this particular model.

The heatpipes are arranged in the traditional U-shape and utilize CPU Direct Contact (C.D.C) to directly transfer heat from the CPU to the heatsink. The top of the cooler clearly shows the three heatpipes to be evenly spaced apart, with Raijintek's logo visibly in the middle. Its 8 mm heatpipes should prove interesting since the Hyper 212 EVO from Cooler Master makes use of four 6 mm heatpipes and is a direct competitor to the Themis.

The Themis CPU cooler's base is flat, and while the entire base does not consist of copper heatpipes, there are no gaps either, making for a seamless, solid surface that comes into contact with the IHS.

The fan with model number A12025MMAB is a PWM fan that spins at 1000-1800 RPM. It is a typical fan and has no special grooves, or a funky frame design, but you sometimes only need a solid fan to get the job done. The sleeving on the fan is also a nice touch; however, some wiring is still visible near the 4-pin PWM connector.
