A Closer Look - Inside

You have to pull three side panels off the chassis to access the interior. Each panel is held in place by plastic pins, but they do a really good job in keeping things together. This system is very similar to the Silverstone Fortress system of cases that employ the same approach. I found some white chemical residue upon pulling the panels off. Considering the case comes straight from a factory in China, I grabbed disinfectant and cleaned it off - just to avoid any weird toxins from entering my bloodstream.

Looking at the case straight-on and from the front, it should become clear where everything is to be installed. The motherboard sits on the floor, with the HDDs above it and the PSU to the right. Two beams to the left and right are used to clip the side panels on, and these also give the unit the needed structural integrity.

The entire floor is riddled with little holes, which has this part of the chassis act as an air vent that pulls air into the chassis. Xigmatek also made the power LED quite big, which does limit the GPU's maximum length; a more compact approach here would have been much better.

The single 120 mm fan in the rear of the chassis is not of the standard variety. It is actually an XOF 12 fan, but in black, a color that is not available on their website.

All the cables within the Nebula are of the standard variety, so you should run into no problems while connecting these to the motherboard of your choice.
