...just like every other netbook; an atom, 1gb ram, and a 160GB hard drive. C'mon, I want to see some new things in them.

Matte screen? Good if true.

Not sure how these models are better than the previous Samsung netbooks.

^ Rubbish. It's a Windows "home" for netbook requirement that allows the OEMs to purchase it on the very cheap.

Just buy it and stick in another 1GB RAM. If they SOLD it to you with 2GB, they would have to charge you more because MS license fee would be higher.

STUPID, I know. But that's discount OS sales for ya.

Most of those netbooks come with only 1 memory slot, if one wants to upgrade, he will have to stick a 2GB ram in and throw away the original one-. - what a waste.

What are you going to do on a single core atom with Intel gfx that can actually make efficient use of 2GB ram?

It's intended purpose is for basic web surfing, document making, and media watching. You don't need any more that 1GB of ram for that. 2GB is a total waste in these machines.

Now, a dual core Atom on ION might be able to use 2GB, but even then that's pushing it.
