GeForce GTX 570 Specifications, Release Date Leaked

On a day when a lot of other geopolitical things are being leaked, our friends from Sweden found the specifications sheet of NVIDIA's new upcoming high-end graphics accelerator, the GeForce GTX 570. The GTX 570 will be a deputy to the company's recently-release GeForce GTX 580, it is based on the GF110 graphics processor, with 480 CUDA cores enabled, and a 320-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface holding 1280 MB of memory. At this point it looks like a cross between the GTX 480 and the GTX 470, but the equations take a turn when clock speeds step in: 732 MHz core, 1464 MHz CUDA cores, and 950 MHz (3800 MHz effective) memory, churning out 152 GB/s of memory bandwidth. Power consumption is rated at 225W. NVIDIA's upcoming accelerator is slated for release on 7th December, just five days ahead of AMD's Radeon HD 6900 series launch.

So based on those figures, the performance is probably about the same as the 480? But it has a better cooler and hopefully a naturally lower power consumption, not just because of the circuitry control software. This might turn out to be a pretty good card, if they price it under what the 480 costs now.

I'm willing to bet this is as-good-as on par with a GTX480 performance wise, while stomping it at power consumption and heat output. and now we await the reviews!

Performance would be pretty much be like a 480.. with a few and miniscule gain from drivers. The reason why they didn't release it with the 580, probably, to give more selling time to the 480.

On OcUK, the average GTX 480 price has tumbled to £300-320. I'm thinking this 570 will come in above that price. There are still dozens of 480's in stock - going to be pretty hard to shift when this comes out.....

this is such a turnaround for Nvidia compared to 12 months ago, now theyre announcing cards and releasing them merely weeks later. damn good effort by the company to get back on top of things. now AMD is the one caught with their pants down and a late card, albeit it shouldn't be anywhere near as late as the GTX480 was.

I was wondering when the 570 would drop. I'm sad to say... I think I'll be skipping the 500 series :( Perhaps the dual gpu card would be a good upgrade :)

Lol it's not for defend AMD but... GTX570 = GTX580 with 1 SMID disabled.. if they don't arrive to release that on time..( aka laser cut the GTX580 ) I will be worry for the Nvidia engineer team.. ( one SMID + one memory controller disabled)

With the good cost performance for CUDA Karnel 480 PCS, new high grade graphic processor board : GTX570 will be arrived. Therefore, I strongly desire that the GTX570 may be good pair for SLI with GTX480 under the same quantity of CUDA karnel PCS since GTX480 is still expensive than GTX470 and older. Pls advise me if someone has the hint/tips/tested_results on the subject question/concerns.

Interesting, although it seems all the AMD trolls have declared it fail, but somehow the 6 series is win . . . I would like to see some numbers and benchmarks before I make my decision, perhaps we will have another awesome card like the 470 which was 200 dollars cheaper than the 480 and only about 3-7% slower, but overclocked better.

Has anyone decided to go as far as to understand this post? kidding :laugh: The 470's in SLI were phenomenal, these will really be amazing in SLI.
