Nice looking block. Are they doing anything as nice for the 7870? It doesn't look like the 7970 is worth the price premium if you're just gaming.

..."protect its fragile components,"... meaning fragile as in an egg, or fragile as in if-you-take-a-screwdriver-to-it-you-will-break-it?

first time i have read that the components on a graphics card are fragile... static sensitive yes, but fragile as in "be careful, stuff will fall off if you are not careful" no!...

What's the point of water-cooling AMD GPU? If you want more FPS - don't bother with that expensive stuff , just buy GTX680 for 1/3 of the money.

Well, HD7970 is extremely expensive where I live. Retail price is ~ Euro 560 ($735). Watercooling it will add $500 additional cost ($160 for full cover block + $340 for rest of the kit). So I will end up with $1235 GPU. Still it won't be as fast in BF3 as GTX680. So what's the point of watercooling HD7970?
