SCDKey Unveils Black Friday Game Sale to Pick on Major Game Publishing Platforms

SCDKey is an online games and software vendor that sells genuine license keys for a large selection of games, and software, including Microsoft Windows and MS Office. The vendor just launched a gargantuan Black Friday sale of games and software keys; with the likes of Windows 10 Pro OEM selling for $14, Office 2016 for $35 (permanent, not subscription), and Microsoft products marked down by as much as 85%.

You can also get the latest AAA game keys on SCDKey at a minimum discount of 12%. Take "Fallout 76," for example, which is going for $57.48 against a Steam price of $68.30. The site is now giving away monthly, quarterly, and annual subscriptions to its Members Zone. As an SCDKey Premium member, you have access to discount-coupons that can shave off anywhere between 30% to 80% on the already marked down prices, letting you get away with genuine keys at unreal prices. With each purchase you get bonus points that you can redeem in future purchases as alternative for real money. The site uses PayPal, so your payment instruments stay shielded from the vendor. I've already bought a Windows 10 Pro license along with a discount coupon for $12. How much do you want to spend this Winter gaming season?

SCDKey Black Friday Mega Sale

Microsoft Windows 10 Pro OEM CD-KEY GLOBAL ($14)

TechPowerUp readers get exclusive discount coupons.

  • Use coupon code TP10 at checkout for 10% off on non-game software purchases (very useful when buying Windows keys).
  • Use coupon code TP3 at checkout for a further 3% off on game purchases.

Not 100% sure.. but they say the keys are OEM..which may be locked to just 1 system/motherboard if they are legit.

A game that isn't on Steam is cheaper than on Steam?

I'm going to avoid grey market sellers like this. Disappointed in TPU for this.

Using these keys does not amount to piracy.

The keys are genuine, and the payment gateway is PayPal, so you're not giving them your card details.

You can buy from anywhere. I just picked up Windows 10 Pro, and Office 2019 Pro for less than the price of a AAA game.

I'm not saying it automatically does. But grey market is still grey market.

If it's not piracy, have at it. Party with the savings.

SCDKey is a nice way to offset high RAM costs for new builds. You're paying $15 for the OS.

I'm not saying it isn't piracy or shady or illegal or whatever either. That's why it's grey.

It's definitely shady though. That's like the entire business model.

The EU has decided the right to sell "used" keys though, no matter what the TOS says. That doesn't help if the keys originally come from dishonest sources.

Why do we have AMD CPU's today? (layman's version) Because AMD found a loop hole in a manufacturing agreement that gave them access to Intel's x86 license. So if SCDKey is gray market, then every AMD CPU is gray market. Are they selling keys in a way that the developers ever intended? No. But they're still legal. TweakTown.com also wrote about them.

None of this bothers me (sites like this are fine, and you guys need to make money) but I do wish the actual post was a little more clear about being sponsored. I see it's flaired as sponsored on the main page though.

SCDKey.com is an authorized reseller for many software products, including select Microsoft titles. Not gray market at all. Fully recognized and legitimate.

Agreed. While I will not judge a client for using such a site, I'm worried that advertising for them in this way is a BAD idea. It may even open TPU to legal litigation if someone notices.

If true then I recant my comments. But the fact that even bta seemed unaware of this is... disturbing. That's all.

Maybe we need Microsoft to clear things up.
If it is really an authorized Microsoft reseller, then there should be no problem in which TPU contact them.

I've already done that some time ago. According to Microsoft themselves, this and a few other sites like it are authorized to sell digital keys for specific products. Steam, Origin, XB Live are also seemingly completely legit.

I'd encourage anyone to call/contact them if you want to verify for yourselves. I believe TPU has already done so or they wouldn't be participating in such offers on an official basis.
