One of the more interesting fighting games from the NES days, but one of the most infuriating at the same time. So many times the game felt cheap and made me want to smash the cartridge to pieces with a hammer. I refrained and eventually beat it, but with a lot of cussing and controller tossing along the way.

I wonder if the new game will feel cheap and make you want to smash things?

The theme music is still stuck in my head.

The trailer certainly does. While I'm not opposed to Cartoon Network style visual design in general, it doesn't seem particularly fitting for Battletoads considering they originally looked like roided up Ninja Turtles. This remake/sequel seems to be aiming at a generation that neither knows nor cares about the toads, missing the mark completely.

I'll be getting this without a doubt. NES version isn't that hard ;)

I'm surprised that there's not already twenty posts bemoaning the egregious difficulty of the original

Flash looking remake that toned down sexual appeal of the antagonist to "Taliban would approve" levels:

This, sucks how they toned her down to a totally different character.

Doesn't bode well if they went from proudly bragging about this at one E3 a year or so ago to not even mentioning it this year during a presentation where they absolutely needed gameplay and games being released this year to balance out all the non-gameplay trailers.

The end must be neigh. Soon you'll be able to call Gamestop, ask if they have Battletoads, and the answer will be yes.
