Tan your Life with Noctua-themed Keycaps and Accessories

Did you ever look at Noctua's tan and brown color scheme and think you would certainly love to have more of that? Then I have just the news for you today! Mito, a popular keyboard and keycap designer with plenty of success stories and collaborations, has worked to get an official license from Noctua to have keycap sets made in the color scheme that the Austrian brand is synonymous with. We reached out to Noctua who confirmed the whole thing started as a simple design render on social media, which garnered enough attention for Noctua to get in touch and purse the idea formally. Currently still in the interest check stage, these are pretty much guaranteed to go the group buy route on Drop sooner than later. There is also an option for Noctua's Chromax colorway as well, for a more subtle fan offering (get it?). If this interests you whatsoever, head over to the Google form here and express your opinion on the final designs and what you would like to see when it comes to Noctua-themes keycaps, coiled cables, and other accessories—including a potential hoodie!

I dislike the older Noctua brown colors, but the 12x25's lighter shade looks elegant behind dark tempered glass. That keycap set however has the old colors it seems...

FYI it's not a keyboard, just keycaps. You can use them with most mechanical keyboards of your preference, as with all such aftermarket keycap sets.

I've said it on the r/mechanicalKeyboards post, it's great that we get to see more MT3 keycaps. I've pretty much decided that my next keycaps would be MT3.

I hear many good things about MT3 profile keycaps, I should try to get my hands on some.

You should get one and post your experience. I'm really interested in seeing how you feel about it because not a lot of people like the higher profile keycaps.

The only reason I haven't bought any yet is because I'm not keen on the looks/colours of the sets available so far. The Camillo set is probably one I would've settled with if I really want one NOW, but I can wait for more options.

I just submitted a JDA set article, and that's one of my favorite profiles now. I don't really like too high a profile (SA is too much for daily typing, for example).

Noctua make fabulous high quality coolers and I have one, but that yucky brown colour is the one thing that isn't nice about them. To have a whole keyboard in that colour is a step too far bless, in my opinion.

No mention of what material is used.

They better be PBT double shot key caps.

Depends on who's making them. If it's a GMK run then it will be ABS plastic.

Most of the time, when there are unique legends on the caps, they won't come in double shot. It would be much too expensive. So best bet is probably dye sublimation. It could be PBT but it could also be ABS.

I've always found Noctua's tan and brown colour scheme too ugly to be represented in any PC component, but that keyboard looks surprisingly awesome. If a whole keyboard like that comes out (and it turns out to be any good), I'll consider buying one.

Those would clash with the RGB colors of recent components. However, I think they are elegant just like the old Dolch keycaps and remind
me of old typewriters. I like them...but I'm old too. ;)

It's Mito and Drop, so I think they're most likely gonna start with MT3 instead of GMK (Drop owns the tooling for MT3, and considering the current production queue for GMK, I think MT3 is a sure bet).

Since Drop doesn't do reverse dye-sub, I'm guessing the first run on MT3 is gonna be doubleshot ABS, and then if they do decide to do a GMK run then it will also be doubleshot ABS.

Yup, agreed on all counts. The IC form has multiple options so I didn't want to presume anything.
