Chieftec Announces BE-10B-300 Compact Case

Today CHIEFTEC is proud to introduce BE-10B-300. The BE-10B-300 joins the Uni Series of CHIEFTEC as a classic small form factor chassis that still offer all the flexibility needed for a modern office desktop PC.

With a total volume of less than 9 liters, this case still supports Slim ODD, m-ATX motherboards and comes pre-installed with a 300 W 80 Plus Bronze PSU, as well as an 80 mm fan. A total of four USB ports in the front completes the functionality of the BE-10B-300.

Nice to see Cheifec update their offerings, and while they're clearly still serving a specific niche with the continued ODD support, this frankly looks like an excellent budget SFF case (assuming the price is right). That 300W PSU can easily handle any LP GPU and any reasonable CPU, and cooler clearance should be great if you don't need the drive caddy - but even 50mm is plenty sufficient for cooling a 65W CPU.

Even little too old school for business today. Nowadays AIO have all varieties connectors included USB Type-C PD at easy access. In additional if had rack mounting would be more universal for some uses

The main portion of the tooling for the case is likely that old, if not older, with some minor tweaks and internal changes.

Hey, tbh... Remove the top shelf for sata drivers... and you can really make a small home office / simple gaming PC

put any kind of "fake x99" mobos from ali, and a low profile 1650...
or anything PCIE 4.0 based system with RX 6400 and this can really be nice

Just in general ... the ITX form factor has implemented most of the creative case setups instead of the same old same old ATX design. These companies really need to try with the ATX form factor too. For ATX I really like the Lian Li 011 Dynamic and Thermaltake Core G3 ... but most other ATX cases are relatively the same, even in 2022.

Why couldn't Chieftec put perforated panels on the left, right, and top sides of this case at least? It's going to be a hotbox.

Not at all. The above case is designed for compact parts and components that run cool, not super highend parts that need massive cooling. Anything you could fit into that case will have more than enough room to breath.
