NVIDIA and CDPR Give Away Ultra-Rare Custom RTX 4090 FE Cards Hidden Away Inside Cyberpunk 2077

NVIDIA and CD Projekt RED (CDPR) came up with a unique giveaway for three GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition graphics cards that have been customized with an ultra-rare Cyberpunk 2077-themed backplate. Even if not for the backplate, just the fact that you could win an RTX 4090 should get you to "dust off" Cyberpunk 2077 from your Steam library, reinstall it with its latest update that includes a crazy graphics present aptly named "overdrive," and explore every nook and corner of Night City for clues leading up to the card. These cards are hidden away as premium gear, and everyone who finds the card in the game stands a chance to win one IRL. For more information, visit this page.

No, the first three people who find the card DO NOT get one for real. Anyone who finds the cards in the game has a chance to win a 4090. Winners will be awarded subjectively, based on the "creativity" of the screenshots they take, whatever that means. This is clearly explained in the contest rules.

Also, Psycho ray-tracing was in the game at launch. The new ray tracing mode being added to the game soon is called "Overdrive" mode and it's not yet in the game.

Wonder if some clever people can't just datamine where it is.
And if one just says "f it" and shares the location(s) that would surely increase the value of the whole thing....

They should give a true custom cards, a faster version of regular 4090 maybe the 600w variant, as it doesn't seem to be able to maintain 60fps.

Meh...

It's worth it to try only for the gamers who like that particular game. I cannot participate.

Would have been a good resale value, though... :(

I you look it closely. its just a separate plate glued on top of the card, not a painted shroud or something like 2080ti CP2077 was.
Still, 4090 is 4090, gaming now

Served 5k and counting ...
This giveaway going to be so opinionated and biased its unreal. Like who chooses what is the best screenshot? 1 person? A poll off a CyberPunk fan-based community? What if I feel that screenshot A deserves it more than Screenshot B? Ummm ... yea .... It should be just a ticket giveaway system.

With a system like this its best to treat it as such

Cyberpunk is like an escort service for company branding or something? Also, let's appreciate the fact that TWO generations of Nvidia cards will probably launch faster with the full feature set than the game they're promoted in. Meanwhile, half the city inside of it is still a dull, empty mess.

Probably because of the anime, rather than some giveaway.

Hope the give away also comes with a fitting power supply and a premium electric utility contract to power the GPU should you win one. But based on at which price a 4090 sold in Honkong you can also sell it and buy a more reasonable GPU and even have money left to improve the system in other categories.

Wouldn't even call it "Give Away". It's a cheap PR stunt. Tens of thousands spamming Twitter with their screenshots = advertisement for CP2077 & Nvidia.
The costs for the 3x 4090's will be back in no time.

I recently bought that game for cheap, played it twice, and that was it.

The worst part about this giveaway is they are going to arbitrarily rate the screenshots. It should be a random giveaway.
