Intel Arc GPU Graphics Drivers 101.4090 Beta Released

Intel Graphics today released the latest version of its Arc GPU Graphics Drivers. Version 101.4090 beta comes with launch-day optimization for "Forspoken." The company also fixed a couple of issues with this release. For Arc "Alchemist" discrete GPUs, an application freeze issue with "A Plague Tale: Requiem" has been fixed. Box corruptions noticed in "Need for Speed: Unbound," have also been fixed. For Intel Core processors with Xe LP-based iGPUs, a screenspace corruption issue with NFS: Unbound has been fixed; besides an intermittent application crash with Total War: Warhammer III in DirectX 11 mode, and color corruption in Battlefield: 2042. Grab the drivers from the link below.

Since a week after launch. It's literally unplayable on Arc with how consistently it crashes. Even on the older drivers, which worked fine, it crashes. I appreciate Intel acknowledging the issue but I'm almost positive this is a problem that Fatshark introduced and needs to solve.

Guess I'll only be able to play Black Ops Cold War when I finally pull the trigger on a 4080 :D

Has anyone here used one of these new Arc GPU's as their main gaming card? I just picked up a new Surface Laptop 5 and I'm pretty impressed with the Intel Iris Xe and how well it performs.

EDIT: I wrote this earlier and just notice I didn't post it. lol I need more coffee!

You can also check ARC subforums here for some more impressions or join Intel Insiders Community discord if you want to see even more (way more!). Plus you can request support over there and chat to some of the Intel team directly, they pop up occasionally.

My wifes laptop has the IRIS Xe Max GPU and she games on it lightly and it works well. I am too curious enough that I want to try one out.

i been using the A770 instead of my 6900xt just for quality of life testing for about a month im really impressed with the performance for 3rd party gpu that came on the market from scratch at a decent price and finally if they keep fixing bugs with drivers at a steady pace id fully recommend this card plus the discord bug reporting is awesome, competition means lower prices lol

You know what I really should. I will put my X299 machine back together and see if I can get some proper test time in. Thought I only have my portable 1080p display I will need to figure that out.

Looks like Intel are giving this thing more attention than gamers are.
