be quiet! Unveils Dark Base Pro 901 White & Dark Base 701 White Cases

be quiet!, the German manufacturer for premium PC components, announces white versions for its two high-end PC cases: Dark Base Pro 901 White and Dark Base 701 White. Both cases have ground-breaking features, such as support for inverted layouts, high airflow, subtle ARGB lighting, and a huge focus on usability. Dark Base Pro 901 White and Dark Base 701 White allow users to create stunning white builds without compromises, offering the same high quality and award-winning German engineering as the original black versions of these cases and making them the ideal cases for PC gamers and enthusiasts alike.

Dark Base Pro 901 White features a silence-oriented and performance-optimized solution for the top and the front of the case, thanks to the included exchangable panels. A detachable top and front bracket with included fan hub and pogo pin connector allows for a comfortable installation of radiators and fans. The case supports an inverted layout thanks to its intuitive rail system and the cooling demand is handled by three pre-installed Silent Wings 4 White 140 mm PWM fans.
Radiators can be installed in the front of Dark Base Pro 901 White (up to 420 mm) or in the top or on the side panel (up to 360 mm), with plenty of space for additional fans. The VGA holder prevents GPU sag even with heavy graphics cards. Two cable bars, one located inside the VGA holder and the other next to the motherboard tray, hide the cables inside the case. Dark Base Pro 901 White supports installation of one 5.25" drive and two HDDs or six SSDs out of the box, with the option to expand this up to 7x HDD or 16x SSD. The high-quality, fully-windowed tempered glass side panel offers a perfect view of the components inside your case. And just as important: Dark Base Pro 901 White can be deployed without the hassle of additional screws and small parts, creating the optimal case for any build.

ARGB lighting on the front and the PSU shroud ensures the case remains elegant with subtle illumination. The light and fan settings can be conveniently controlled via touch-sensitive buttons on the I/O panel. A 15 W wireless charger for Qi enabled devices perfectly rounds up Dark Base Pro 901 White.

High-airflow case with outstanding usability
Dark Base 701 White is built for high airflow and performance, thanks to fully perforated mesh panels that are ideal for case fans or water cooling. Thanks to three pre-installed Silent Wings 4 White 140 mm PWM fans and room for an additional five 120 mm or 140 mm fans, this case can fulfill cooling requirements of modern high-end systems with ease. Usability is key when it comes to the installation of drives, fans, and radiators. HDD and SSD installation is completely tool-less. Fans and radiators (up to 360 mm) are installed on a front frame that can be taken out of the case, or a top frame that slides out to the side from underneath the fixed mesh top. The whole motherboard tray can be taken out for assembly outside the case, the tray can be inverted with a few simple steps, and three additional vertical slots are available for vertical GPU installation with an optional riser cable.

Great performance obviously goes hand-in-hand with great aesthetics. The sleek design of Dark Base 701 White is elevated by two diffused ARGB LED strips, which run down the front panel and are connected to a combined ARGB and fan hub for up to 8 PWM fans and 2 additional ARGB devices. The front I/O includes dedicated buttons for the ARGB and fan controller. Cable routing channels keep the inside of the case neat and tidy, while a tempered glass side window allows for a superb view of the PC components.

Additional accessories and availability
Both Dark Base Pro 901 White and Dark Base 701 White are compatible with the tool-free, decoupled HDD Cage 2 for additional HDD and SSD support, currently available in black and additionally available in white from April 2nd. The cases also support the be quiet! Riser Cable, a high-speed data transfer cable for PCIe 4.0 cards that supports vertical installation and prevents sagging of the graphics card. As usual, be quiet! offers a full 3-year warranty on both cases.

Dark Base Pro 901 White and Dark Base 701 White are available from March 5th at a recommended retail price of $299.90 / €319.90 / £319.99 (Dark Base Pro 901 White) and $239.90 / €239.90 / £239.99 (Dark Base 701 White). The Riser Cable and HDD Cage 2 are available for $54.90 / €59.90 / £59.99 and $9.90 / €9.90 / £9.99 respectively.

The - SHADOW BASE 800 (Black) - I am impressed by the aesthetics of this case, although I did face some challenges with the radiator system. In today's market, it's more advantageous to have a PC cooling system with a radiator larger than 30mm, without the need to modify the case extensively. Perhaps some improvements can be made to the case's design to accommodate this requirement.

Too bad, that they've got rid of the separate reset button. There's seems to be a lot of unused space left on the front I/O. Might need to make some custom hack/mod, to swap RGB to the reset, but it would be great for the manufacturer give this option "out of the box".

But overall, it's great rival to the Lancool III.
