3DRealms Hopes to Bring Duke Nukem to Xbox Live Arcade

It's been eleven years since Duke Nukem was first unleashed, and with Duke Nukem Forever still in development, even the most hardcore fans are getting impatient. And so, 3DRealms' George Broussard announced plans to port the classic Duke Nukem into Xbox Live Arcade. Broussard has already discussed plans with Microsoft. He's just waiting for some paperwork to go through, and then we'll see Duke Nukem in Xbox Live soon afterwords.

Impatient for Duke Nukem Forever? That was so like a few years ago. I forgot about DNF (Did Not Finish, just like in the races fellas, it was meant to be this way). Glad to see they're still mentioning it. I just think it's time already came and left, and when it's released, it will be big at first, but maybe a letdown after the inital shock of a NEW DUKE GAME!!! But I could be wrong and it could the the shooter to-end-all shooters. Which I hope for! :toast:

This seems more like an excuse to dalay DNF even longer "we had to make xbox360 port". Not that I mind, stopped waiting Forever 5 years ago :)

Ah I used to love Duke Nukem, probably my favouirte FPS before the likes of quake came along. "Shake it baby" :D

Duke Nukem forever, I think I have a PCZone Demo CD from 1998 with a preview video in it. Ridiculous having to wait so long for a game. Although it's not the worst. I think Elite 4 will hold that crown, if it ever gets released that is.

I'm not sure that Duke Nukem would be that succesful if they release it on XBox Live.

No? Maybe 11 years since the release of Duke 3D, but the first game is far older than that.. I assume they're talking about 3D, right?
