FPS Command & Conquer: Tiberium Revealed

Electronic Arts is taking another stab at the FPS market with Command & Conquer. In the upcoming Command & Conquer: Tiberium FPS you'll play as Ricardo Vega, a GDI field commander dragged out of retirement to stop the latest Nod master plan 11 years after the third Tiberium war. The squad-based action will ship on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Unfortunately, at this stage of development, that's all the information available. Final release date is also unknown.

Sounds like fail to me. Remember the CNC Renegade? It was extremely easy, and only multi player was good, or at least ok.

I could never play it. My old P3 466mhz with 8mb onboard SiS graphics werent good enough for it :cry:...

But from what I read and saw, I thought it was a great game lol.

I played it on hard recently at a friend's house. I scored general for a rank after the first mission using only the pistol. IT BETTER BE DIFFICULT! It was easy as hell.

hm..I remember C&C1 and the time around about 2...those were the best days.

I liked C&C:R. Love the rts strategy mixed with a fps shooter. A good, and free mod that does this is the Empires Mod for HL2.

Unfortunately I'm 100% with you on this. It had a couple of fun wpns and occasionally a good twist but it just wasn't fun with the other options available at the time.

I wanted to like C&C: Renegade, but tbh I traded my copy for halflife right after I bought it (was not 17 and wanted half life) It was a great decision, half life was amazing. But anyway, it had alot going for it that just did not quite work out, curved surfaces? I was waitng for that but it never came.
If Tiberium is more challenging than Crysis on Very Hard (way to easy with all its gadgets) or even just as challenging I think it could work. They were not THAT far off the first time around. :ohwell:

Nope, I have not worked on it, Prophet keeps dieing on me, :banghead: im thinking about doing that part on easy so I can cover him then setting it back to very hard lol.

Not another FPS?! Well, I hope the gameplay dynamics and graphics they have planned will better than what C&C: Renegade offered. That one had terrible graphics, even for 2002, and it was unplayable. I remember checking it out while back and thinking to myself: "Wow, this is awful." I actually felt bad for the dev team @ Westwood Studios because it was such a mess and an embarrassment for such a big name in the game development industry.

Did any of you play C&C: Sole Survivor? It wasn't FPS, but an online game where you controlled one of the units from the original C&C. If they could re-do that with some modern technology and gameplay, it'd be sweet.

Playing World in Conflict reminded me of C&C: SS a lot, except in WiC you control squadrons instead of one unit. But, a C&C FPS game I don't feel is right...C&C is not a shooter, and shouldn't be, it's world just doesn't seem to be right imo. But if they can make the C&C world and action like CoD4...I'd be sold! :D
