Turbine Announces DirectX 10 Support for The Lord of the Rings Online

Turbine announced today that The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar has become the first massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) to support the Microsoft DirectX 10 API and NVIDIA GeForce graphics processors. The Lord of the Rings Online, named the PC Game of the Year 2007, now offers gamers with DirectX 10 graphics the most out of their cards. Players can now experience Middle-earth like never before with major improvements to The Lord of the Rings Online's graphics, including upgraded shaders for water, particle effects and lighting for distant terrain. Players will also be treated with new DirectX 10 dynamic shadowing features which render realistic real-time shadows. The update is available now to subscribers.

Technically Hellgate isnt an MMO just like Diablo and most notably Phantasy Star: Online and Phantasy Star: Universe. You could technically play it without the need for other players to join in with you.

What were the minimum specs required to plAY THIS GAME AGAIN?

HOPE MY SYSTEM CAN RUN IT:ohwell::ohwell:

TBH that looks like complete crap. Hellgate is a MMO in my book... If you play on one server and there are other people its massivly multiplayer.

There is one MMO I try to play some time ago (a month?) called Fury and it support DX10, at least formally (the game crashed when I run DX10 version, but the problem may be in my system).

This is old news isn't it? I remember reading about DX10 LOTRO months ago, however there were many problems with it...mainly severe performance issues. I suppose its "fixed" now?
