Mass Effect PC Version to be Released in May 2008

After creating RPG masterpiece Mass Effect, author BioWare went on to win several awards for their work. Now, BioWare is confirming that they plan to spread the love: a PC version of the game is due out sometime in May 2008. The best part about BioWare being responsible for both writing and porting the game is that BioWare will fix many issues in porting. Among the most obvious tweaks...
  • PC-centric controls (aiming with your mouse?), with customizable hotkeys
  • Higher quality textures; PC version will be capable of higher resolutions
  • New decryption mini-game (for hacking turrets, etc.)
  • New GUI for the inventory system
You can check out some current screenshots here.

Crazy 4 TPU!!!
I wonder what the system requirements are. My system could probably play it on Medium. But i wonder how it would compare to the power of an Xbox 360?

Not quite true.. Most ports are quite bad. Fable is a good game, but the port is pretty bad.

I played Fable on both and i feel better on the PC, i played halo on xbox then on PC and feel the same and i think it will be the same with Mass Effect and halo 3, but im not saying the xbox versions sucks, im not a console hater or xbox hater :-) im just saying that i feel better playing PC version of Xbox games on PC...

Nope.

They can do the same things with DX9 hacks that can be done with DX10, and not nearly as much a performance hit. I'd be afraid of current-gen games getting a DX10 port on em, everything so far has been poo. DX10 was supposed to be a more efficient way of making better eye candy, not less. In theory, it should be running these games at the same fps as DX9 with the shiny DX10 only features.

I'll have Vista next month. I'll be sure to post my thoughts.
