ASUS Launches Passively Cooled 9600 GT

ASUS today released the ASUS EN9600GT SILENT/HTDI/512M graphics card. Incorporating our latest thermal solution - the V-Cool Heatsink, which features the V-Engine concept and Intercooler technology, the EN9600GT SILENT is the perfect solution for users who want a quiet system that doesn't compromise performance. This exclusive innovation guarantees an absolutely quiet operating environment, and an efficient means of heat dissipation, resulting in extraordinarily stable performance. The unique design of the V-Cool Heatsink will lower GPU temperatures by 10ºC in comparison to reference designed boards; while the integrated SmartDoctor feature provides users with the option to overclock the Shader Clock for even better graphical performance.
10oC Cooler with Exclusive V-Cool Heatsink
The V-Cool Heatsink's design stands as a testament to ASUS' commitment to both form and function. Sporting the unique V-Engine concept, the V-fins dissipate heat evenly with a minimum of space required; while the high-density zipper array fin module utilizes the Intercooler technology to maximize the surface area exposed to the air to help heat dissipation. Additionally, three powerful heatpipes are arranged in such a way to maximize heat transfer, and the special material aluminum alloy used is lighter and provides excellent thermal conductivity. Thanks to these unique features, the V-Cool Heatsink can quickly transfer heat away from the GPU and lower temperatures by an incredible 10ºC in comparison to reference design boards with 0dB noise generated.

Overclock the Shader Clock with New SmartDoctor
ASUS garners a world's first by providing an overclocking utility that is able to tweak the Shader Clock on GPUs with the new SmartDoctor. With this handy application, users will be able to overclock the Shader Clock and Engine Clock independently, resulting in astonishing performance boosts without the hassles of rebooting or re-flashing their BIOS.

Rock Solid Quality from ASUS
Keeping in line with ASUS' Rock Solid quality standards, the EN9600GT SILENT/HTDI/512M comes with several solutions to provide optimum graphical performance. With the EMI shield, 66% EMI Interference can be reduced for more stable signals; while the DIP Spring Chokes can lower temperatures by 5~10oC in comparison with traditional Toroidal Coil Chokes. Additionally, the LF PAK MOS guarantees more efficient power with less heat generation.

Official "HDMI Certified" Graphic Cards
The HDMI format is defined, specified and governed by HDMI Licensing, LLC in the USA. Being "HDMI Certified" refers to any product that meets all of the strict criteria as set out by HDMI Licensing; and utilizing any HDMI product that is not approved may result in poor performance, and can even void the warranty on users' other HDMI enabled hardware. Therefore, the "HDMI Certified" ASUS EN9600GT SILENT/HTDI/512M is a trusted graphics card for home theater enthusiasts

Now THIS is a graphics card I would want...it's silent and plenty fast (for me anyway). A good bang-for-the-buck graphics card. :)
