The Radeon 2100 IGP was an integrated graphics solution by ATI, launched on March 4th, 2008. Built on the 55 nm process, and based on the RS740 graphics processor, in its RS740 variant, the device supports DirectX 9.0b. Since Radeon 2100 IGP does not support DirectX 11 or DirectX 12, it might not be able to run all the latest games. It features 4 pixel shaders and 2 vertex shaders, 4 texture mapping units, and 4 ROPs. Due to the lack of unified shaders you will not be able to run recent games at all (which require unified shader/DX10+ support). The GPU is operating at a frequency of 400 MHz. Its power draw is not exactly known. Radeon 2100 IGP is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 1.0 x16 interface.
RS740 is the codename for the AMD 740G northbrige. It supports AM2/AM2+ socket processors, embeds the Radeon 2100 IGP. Being an IGP, it uses system memory as frame-buffer.
