The Radeon HD 5770 X2 was a graphics card by ATI, launched in October 2010. Built on the 40 nm process, and based on the Juniper graphics processor, in its Juniper XT variant, the card supports DirectX 11.0. The Juniper graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 166 mm² and 1,040 million transistors. Radeon HD 5770 X2 combines two graphics processors to increase performance. It features 800 shading units, 40 texture mapping units and 16 ROPs per GPU. ATI has placed 2,048 MB GDDR5 memory on the card, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface per GPU (each GPU manages 1,024 MB). The GPU is operating at a frequency of 850 MHz, memory is running at 1200 MHz.
We recommend the ATI Radeon HD 5770 X2 for gaming with highest details at resolutions up to, and including, 1920x1080.
Being a dual-slot card, its power draw is not exactly known. Radeon HD 5770 X2 is connected to the rest of the system using a PCIe 2.0 x16 interface.
