AMD Radeon HD 6490M Image AMD Seymour Image
The Radeon HD 6490M was a graphics card by AMD, launched in January 2011. Built on the 40 nm process, and based on the Seymour graphics processor, in its Seymour XTX variant, the card supports DirectX 11.0. The Seymour graphics processor is a relatively small chip with a die area of only 67 mm² and 370 million transistors. It features 160 shading units, 8 texture mapping units and 4 ROPs. AMD has placed 512 MB GDDR5 memory on the card, which are connected using a 64-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 800 MHz, memory is running at 800 MHz.
We recommend the AMD Radeon HD 6490M for gaming with highest details at resolutions up to, and including, 800x600.
Its power draw is not exactly known. Radeon HD 6490M is connected to the rest of the system using a PCIe 2.0 x16 interface.
