Board Software

The software package that comes with the Biostar Hi-Fi Z77X is the same as before, but that's one of the things that allows Biostar to keep costs down. There's e-Hotline, a tool for reporting issues and system configurations directly to Biostar, for individual end-user product support. One updated tool is SmartSPeedLan, a modified CFOS software that is commonly found on Intel Z77 Express products. Here, it features Biostar's own GUI design rather than the standard CFOS control panel.


There's THX software and Toverclocker software. One is for sound configuration and the other for board settings. Toverclocker gets better and better with each board release, but it still isn't something that I'd use over going into the BIOS directly. Its monitoring and SmartFan functions are, however, nice.
