ID-Cooling's SE-224-XTS Black and Basic won't wow you with its visual appeal, in that it doesn't have flashy looks or ARGB LEDs. What you get instead is a simple, clean cooler that is classically attractive, without being tacky or absurd by design. The SE-224-XTS Black certainly has a more elegant look compared to the basic, but other than that, you get a cooling solution that is honestly rather stealthy in the looks department.


Considering the marketing makes a big point of the cooler's perfect memory clearance, I am happy to say that it is accurate. The cooler clears both memory and the graphics card with plenty of room to spare. The cooler's max height of 151 mm also means it should fit in the majority of ultra-affordable cases.
