The Maximo earphones are hard not to like for $59. Sound quality wise they are where they need to be.
If it was not for the cable the earphones would receive a much better score here. The cable is overly microphonic which makes them almost intolerable to use on the move.
With the cable being the only big flaw in the design the earphones are still well worth the bucks spend, but only if you want good sound for the price since there are other better alternatives out there if you want a set that are better for use on the move. The iM-590s are a still a good purchase for listening while on the train or other form of noisy transport, or if you want one sleek looking well sounding set of in-ears for use around the office.
The Maximo earphones are indeed an excellent all around purchase if you use the shirt clip in the proper manor as described in the performance part of this very review. If you think a shirt clip is too much of a hassle you better shop around for a set of in-ears with a rubber based cable jacket. If you on the other hand can live with a slightly more durable cable that requires the use of a shirt clip these should be right at the top of your list.
