Packaging & Contents

Scythe's Ninja 4 CPU cooler comes in a medium-sized box measuring 16.5 cm in length, 14.6 cm in width, and 24 cm in height including the lip. The box is covered in imagery. When it comes to catching your eye, the Ninja in front of the moon will be what does it, followed by the Ninja 4 cooler itself. On the left side are the cooler's specifications in various languages, and the back holds some support and warranty information in various languages.

The right side describes the cooler's key features, such as the Three-dimensional Multiple Airflow Pass-through Structure, T.M.A.P.S for short among others. The top of the box has an image of the Ninja 4 cooler itself.

Scythe's packaging for the Ninja 4 is minimal at best. Only the simple box and a foam insert and cardboard tray protect the heatsink and fan. While I prefer better packaging, it should suffice since the box is designed to hang on store shelves, rather than being shipped directly. Still, it would be nice to see slightly better packaging with future products, at least in terms of protection.

The Ninja 4 supports all modern CPU sockets and everything one needs to install it to these sockets is included. The mounting system uses H.P.M.S, otherwise known as Hyper Precision Mounting System.

Common parts supplied for mounting include:
  • 4x Mounting plate screws
  • 4x Wire fan clips
  • 4x Stud nuts A
  • 4x Stud nuts B
  • 4x Washers
  • 2x Mounting plates
  • 2x Mounting bar screws
  • 1x Backplate
  • 1x LGA 775 spacer
  • 1x Mounting bar
  • 1x 120 mm x 120 mm x 25 mm Slip Stream PWM fan
  • 1x Heatsink
  • 1x Screwdriver
  • 1x User's manual
  • 1x Packet of thermal compound
