Sennheiser CX True Wireless Earphones Review

Packaging & Accessories »

Introduction

Sennheiser Logo

Sennheiser needs no introduction on TechPowerUp, being synonymous with highly successful products, including the HD 6XX we took a look at recently. Along the way, it has managed to make people forget or disregard some less successful items, as well as apprehensions about the brand being sold to another company, which I suppose is a testament to its marketing department. That very section reached out to me when I was in the US to gauge interest in a review of the original Sennheiser Momentum TWS and over-ear Bluetooth headphones, but then things happened, and I am now in the UK talking to a whole different set of people. As it turns out, we also got into covering headphones and earphones in more detail since, and that is a good base for Sennheiser's much-awaited TWS earphones debut on TechPowerUp. Thanks to the company for providing a review sample!

As with any global brand, Sennheiser has a few different SKUs in this product lineup covering different markets. Here in the UK, as well as the USA, we have the base CX, CX Plus that adds active noise cancellation, and Momentum 2, which is the current flagship. I have the CX True Wireless on hand, and it clearly targets a mainstream audience with a more budget-friendly price, for Sennheiser, anyway, and a tuning that emphasis the bass response. It is available in black or white, and my review of the black set should be representative of both outside of the difference in color.
