Packaging

The packaging of the Vantec NexStar 3i is glossy and in full color. The front of the package features a picture of the enclosure from two angles to convey the enclosure's appearance. One side of the package lists the package contents while the other side lists the system requirements. On the back of the package it lists the product description, features, specifications, and a graph of power consumption utilizing the power saving features of the enclosure. The packaging does a good job of displaying most, if not all of the information needed to an interested customer.

Contents

Inside the package reveals the enclosure and the bundle that comes with it. The enlosure is wrapped in plastic and protected by foam that fits into the packaging nicely and everything was removed from the package in perfect shape. Included in the bundle is a USB cable, a power adapter, a stand, a user's manual, and a half-sized CD which has the power management software on it. Everything is there to get the enclosure up and running. Well, minus the hard drive of course. The user manual is printed in black and white, is very thorough, and even has some nice information included about formatting and creating new partitions for your hard drive. The included AC adapter is an American 2-blade version, rated at 100-240V @ 0.8A.
