Xtrfy M42 Wireless Review

Introduction

Xtrfy Logo

Established in 2011, Xtrfy is a peripherals company based in Sweden. In terms of internals, the M42 Wireless is virtually identical to the M4 Wireless: PixArt's PAW3370 sensor, Kailh GM 8.0 switches for the main buttons, pure PTFE feet, and a 500 mAh battery allowing for up to 75 hours of battery life. The M42 Wireless is slightly lighter, however, weighing in at 67 g. Likewise, the user once again is given the choice between two differently curved back covers, along with the ability to 3D-print a custom cover. Furthermore, it is again possible to change the internal position of the battery to better adjust the weight distribution to one's liking. As always, no software is needed for the M42 Wireless, which instead can be configured extensively through button combinations, including for its rich RGB lighting. The M42 Wireless is available either in black or white, along with the option to order a custom color scheme.
