Epic Gear Meduza HDST Gaming Mouse Review

Value and Conclusion

  • The Epic Gear Meduza HDST gaming mouse sells for $80
  • Super ergonomics
  • Durable construction
  • Nice scroll wheel
  • Looks great
  • Pricey at $80
  • Driver suite is horrible
  • Angle snapping with HDST mode enabled
The Epic Gear Meduza could have been an epic mouse, but it falls short in many ways. The most annoying aspect of the Epic Gear Meduza is not the mouse itself, but, rather, its useless driver suite. The driver suite is one of the worst we have ever come across and we hope that Epic Gear will sort this out. The HDST sensor system is also a daring choice. Not having a sensor on the center-line of the mouse creates all sorts of issues and Epic Gear has only solved a few of them. The Epic Gear Meduza would be one of the best mice available at the moment if it had a half-decent driver suite, and a decent sensor located in the middle. This is, unfortunately, not the case.

Epic Gear has mastered the ergonomics with this mouse. It is, simply, one of the best mice to hold. Not only is it super comfy to use, but it also looks really really good, making it all the more a shame that its core performance is not better.
