AMD Processor Roadmap update

Looks like AMD is moving to socket AM2 with no looking back:

Single core:

Dual core:

Sempron:

TDP ratings:

As the X2 5200+ will be 2x 2.6GHz, I would expect the FX to be 2x 2.8.

Pretty ridiculous for the Sempron 3100 to be $95 and 200 MHz less than the 754 part. I doubt DDR2 will make up for difference.

And WTF is with the launch date? 666...

I don't see the reason the 3700+ should have more L2 cache than the 3800+

It's better just to get the 1mb cache and overclock :\

what does the TDP mean, is higher better ? does higher mean overclock more and lower mean less heat, am i right ???

TDP = Thermal Desing Power
(absolute max power consumption)

It doesn't neccesarily correlate with overclockability.
