That is the ugliest stick of RAM I have ever seen. I hope this is a joke. If not bad move on OCZ's part, looks like I'll go Muskin then with my conroe.

I'd stick with my pair of Platinum XTC anyday. That thing doesn't shine, and it looks like it rolled around in shit.

Shiny is better than dirty. :)

Lol. I think it looks pretty cool. Only looks cool by itself though, it would look nasty paired with everything else in a regular modder's case.

My friends, even if it performs the part, it doesn't look the part. Sort of like in real life. Which would you choose? The hot chick, or the ugly duckling? :)

Also when you're an overclocker, isn't the common trend to do it with style?

How cool would it be to drive fast in a brand new Porsche, next to driving fast in a falling apart butt ugly suped up Honda Civic? Sure they both can do the same job, but appearance is very important! It commands respect and inspires awe.

Usually modding and overclocking go hand in hand. ;)

I wonder how many people will end up losing these things :P

They need to quit messing around and release the damn phase change kit I've been hearing about.

That's the only thing I look forward to from OCZ.

"Like OMG, OZC sucks now because they have one stick of RAM that is in camo, I won't buy from them again..."

You people make it sound like this is the only RAM OCZ will be selling. It is a niche product, marketed to a niche market. If you don't like it don't buy it, simple. There are actually people out there willing to buy this and excited about it, I (saddly) know one and when I showed this to him he was very happy about it and plans to buy one the instant he sees a halfway decent deal on it.

Like newtekie1 said, its just a heatspreader. Just buy the normal color if you dont like it.

That said this thread is rather funny, and i even linked it to some OCZ marketing people...

Edit: The ocz rep was saddened by your dislike of the ram, and said "It's only for a niche market. Don't worry, the shiny ram is still coming."

so any colors/themes you guys DO want, while the eye of sauron... i mean OCZ, is watching?
