EVGA Intros Pair of GeForce GTX 460 SE Graphics Cards

EVGA kicked off its GeForce GTX 460 SE lineup with two models. The first one is a base model (part number: 01G-P3-1366-TR), sticking to NVIDIA reference design and clock speeds of 650/1300/3400 MHz (core/CUDA cores/memory GDDR5 effective), and being priced at US $179.99. The second one is a factory-overclocked model bearing EVGA's SuperClocked (SC) badge (part: 01G-P3-1367-TR). This bears clock speeds of 720/1440/3600 MHz, while retaining the reference design board and cooler. This one goes for $189.99.

open your mind and you'll see that a phase out of the 768mb is definitely set up with this release. Just my suspicion but a very feasable one imo.

I was kind of hoping to see prices in the $150 area, but at $180 this card isn't really worth it. Though it definitely looks like the 768MB GTX460 is going bye bye.

It's fine though. Just like what happened with the 8800GS/9600GSO, once the 9600GT (G94) yields started picking up, they cut the 9600GSO out of the picture.

How boring :( .. may as well get a 6850 for this price point, you'd think performance around the HD 4890 and GTX 280 would be cheaper or around 150 AUD by now. :banghead:

Anyways 768MB is not very attractive when you can have the FTW edition for some 229$, spending the extra 30$ makes it well worth the OC and 1GB, fail nVidia
