20 GB PlayStation 3 gets price cut in Japan also gets HDMI

20 GB PlayStation 3 gets price cut in Japan & it also gets HDMI

The console is not even in stores yet, but Sony Japan has issued a price drop for the ucoming gaming console. It will cost 49,980 yen or $430 USD (down from $499 USD). This price cut is only for the cut down version of the PlayStation 3 with the 20GB hard drive. It will also have a HDMI port (v1.3!) just like the bigger PlayStation 3. No word on any price cut on the high-spec'd version.

so the higher spec version is worth almost 200$ more for the addition of 40gig more hdd space, a built in wifi and a built in card reader? no doubt sony will re-evaluate the price of the "higher spec system" soon
