GIGABYTE Unveils Special Edition Radeon 1950 Pro Graphic Accelerator


GIGABYTE today revealed the GIGABYTE GV-RX195P256D-RH, the world's first 80nm graphic card featuring the ATI Radeon X1950 Pro GPU with 36 pixel shader processors and all new Compositing CrossFire Engine. GV-RX195P256D-RH uses ultra-low ESR solid capacitors and comes equipped with Zalman VF700 aluminum copper fan to deliver an optimally quiet thermal solution with outstanding overclocking performance. It has supporst for Shader Model 3.0 and High Dynamic Rendering as well as features like the ATI Avivo platform with H.264 playback and Dual-link support for high-resolution displays up to 2560x1600. In addition to the GV-RX195P256D-RH video card you'll recieve one copy of Call of Juarez game.

Wish the picture was better - any ramsinks on that puppy? ...and does the 256 in the model number imply 256MB???
I thought all R580 chips were 80nm...

I thought all R580 chips were 80nm...
no, 580's are 90nm, the R570 that the x1950 pro has in it is based on an 80nm process. The reason it didn't come out sooner was because ati took some time getting the process kinks all worked out.
