NVIDIA Rolls Out the GeForce 331.82 WHQL Graphics Drivers

NVIDIA has today made available a new graphics card driver, the WHQL-certified GeForce 331.82. This fresh build is claimed to offer the 'best possible gaming experience' in Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag and Need for Speed: Rivals, and includes fixes, as well tweaks to boost performance in various games.

According to NVIDIA this driver increases SLI performance (when running at 4K resolutions) by as much as 50% in key titles like Metro: Last Light, Crysis 3, and Battlefield 4. The GeForce 331.82 supports the GeForce 8, 9, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600 and 700 Series cards and the ION and ION LE GPUs.

Up to 50% in Metro LL ?
So if that turns out to be true, this means the GPUs are kept back by drivers on purpose.
/conspiracy theory.

More likely they found one spot in one map where there was an odd slowdown, and root caused it.

Drivers seem good in BF4 but shadowplay is not playing nice with these in SLI. Anyone else having issues?

With SLI+shadowplay only seeing ~80% GPU usage. Getting similar performance in games to.

Shadowplay disabled I get 100% GPU usage like normal. Tried clean install twice now including full driversweeper etc. Re-install previous WHQL drivers and all is fine.

To infinity ... and beyond!
I hope this fixes the triple monitor issues i've been having as well. Maybe it's a 2Gb card issue but, the third is always super jerky when running videos from a high bitrate file. If I move it back to a primary or disable a monitor it works fine .

sli+4k? probably some minimum area went from 10 to 15 fps, it's hardly going to be 45 to 60fps that people want to expect

4k is demanding, from the 290x reviews, it sounded like the CF bridges were bottlenecking (as would lower/older PCIe speeds), so it's not surprising to get large changes when optimizing very demanding things

the driver failed to install.
uninstalled old driver and physx, and ran driver fusion after reboot as per my normal routine,
ran the installer and selected display driver and physx only to install as per usual,
display driver failed to install.

NEVER will i ever download anything from TechPowerup sites again.
But I love your site by the way and am an avid reader.

I apologize for my previous comment.
I download the package from Nvidia site and had the same problem.
I then chose to install gforce experience as well as the display driver and physx and then the installation was successful.
It seems that gforce experience is now a compulsory installation.

I had a crash to reboot with buzzy noise :(

I tried my 1.212v, 1202MHz Valley run but it failed. Not since 314 have i been able to run Valley @ those clocks at max unlocked bios voltage.

I'll be on BF4 tonight - I'll see then if it's any different.

BF4 runs noticeably smoother with these drivers.

Agreed, BF4 is smoother especially minimum frames per second when jets crash into me face. :)

Heh... coincidently, after I install these drivers, I reboot to no NIC. So I reboot again, and BSOD on Windows start. System Restore prior to that, all works well. Weird.

EDIT: Also DL and installed from here successfully and I never install the GF Experience.

Im not even going to bother to try these. I will wait until the next series release

These R331 series have not solved my freezing problems (leave computer on, freezing randomly after 5 mins, sometimes after 4 hours, sometimes after a day).

Still using 314.22WHQL and works great.

Installed and played a couple rounds of BF4 with no issues. I cannot really tell of any performance increase with this driver over the beta I was using...

Hello people ... I have a MSI GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozer II and the only stable drivers are 314.22. I've tried every driver follows and each was bad. Black screen constantly every day. Will this driver (331.82) we make the same problems? I do not have the strength to try out ....
