As an SSD company died when it decided to mislead consumers with their V300 SSD.
As an SD/microSD company for me they are non existent also. The only SD that died in my hands was a 16GB Kingston. Their cards, all that I have used in the past, have good speeds in sequential read/write but they are completely dead in 4K. I mean 10-30KB/sec speeds in writing? That's floppy drive speeds. And their most expensive cards they are also slow in 4K compared to others, Samsung for example. And low speeds at 4K is not only bad for usage in smartphones, it is probably also an indication that those cards can not sustain many writes, which means, failure.
I might be wrong, but I really stopped trusting them those last years. It doesn't matter if they give 5 years or lifetime warranties. I just don't trust them any more.
